It was the most amazing thing I've ever heard. 20 bass players 80 guitar players and one drummer and a conductor. At times it was nearly frightening, turning Disney Hall into a dark Mass scene and at other times I had to laugh out loud with pure joy. It almost never sounded like electric guitars, an army of huge pianos sometimes, at others times horns, strings, or a jet engine with harmonic structure. Awesome. Gotta eat less doughnuts. Amy signed us up as a family with the YMCA. I'll be pumpin' some heavy pig-iron soon. No, probably not. Maybe the stairmaster or something, should be interesting, I've never exercised in a gym environment before.<br />I got to play some bass at Three Eyed Fish jam tonight, in addition to the usual lap steel, that was fun. I don't get to play enough bass these days.
